Equestrian sport covers competitive disciplines performed on horseback, most prominently dressage, show jumping and eventing, judged on the horse and rider's technical precision, obedience and athleticism. Its Olympic disciplines are governed internationally by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports, known by its French acronym FEI.
