Ingrid Klimke is a German equestrian athlete born April 1, 1968, in Munster, West Germany, daughter of dressage legend Reiner Klimke, who competes in both eventing and dressage and rode at five Olympic Games between 2000 and 2016. She won team eventing gold at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Olympics riding Butts Abraxxas, and team silver at the 2016 Rio Games riding Hale-Bob, alongside multiple gold medals in team and individual eventing at World Equestrian Games and European Championships and a bronze in team dressage at the 2022 World Championships. In January 2012 she was appointed Reitmeister, or Riding Master, by the German Equestrian Federation, only the second woman ever granted the title.
