Ian Millar is a Canadian show jumper born January 6, 1947, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, known as Captain Canada. He competed in a record ten Olympic Games between 1972 and 2012, missing only the 1980 Games to the Soviet boycott, and won an Olympic team silver medal in 2008 at age 61. He won two Show Jumping World Cups and twelve Canadian Show Jumping Championships, and partnered with the horse Big Ben to capture more than forty Grand Prix titles worldwide.
