The UEFA Women's European Championship, also called the UEFA Women's EURO, is the main competition in women's association football between the national teams of UEFA's member associations. It is held every four years, mostly in odd-numbered years and one year after the men's tournament, and it was first held in 1984. England are the reigning champions after winning in 2022 and 2025. Germany are the most successful nation with eight titles, followed by Norway and England with two each, while Sweden and the Netherlands have one each. The most recent edition was played in Switzerland in 2025, after the 2022 tournament in England had been postponed from 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and Germany will host the next one in 2029.
