Rachel Elizabeth Unitt, born on 5 June 1982, is an English former footballer who played as a left-back. Her club career began with Wolverhampton Wanderers and then ran through a long association with Everton from 2000, interrupted by three years at Fulham between 2001 and 2004 and a summer on loan to New Jersey Wildcats in 2005. She left Everton in 2012 for two years at Birmingham City, played for Notts County in 2014 and finished her career with Solihull Moors and London Bees. Described as a sturdy left-back, she won more than one hundred caps for the England women's national football team after her debut in August 2000, and represented England at the UEFA Women's Championship in 2001, 2005 and 2009 and at the FIFA Women's World Cup in 2007 and 2011. She was named the Football Association's International Player of the Year in 2004 and 2006, and in 2016 she was inducted into the English Football Hall of Fame at the National Football Museum.
