International Racquetball Tour

Professional Leagues

The International Racquetball Tour, known as the IRT, is the leading professional racquetball organization for men's competition. It was founded in 1991 as the successor to earlier versions of the professional tour under different names, and professional men's racquetball events have been offered since 1973. Events are played mostly in the United States, and its matches follow the rules of USA Racquetball. The tour changed its match format in the middle of the 2017-18 season from best of five games to 11 points to best of three games with the first two to 15 points, and since the 2010-11 season players have had two chances to put the ball into play on each serve. Its leadership has passed from Dave Negrete as commissioner, to former player Jason Mannino as president, and then through John Scott and Mike Grisz as chief executives. Year-end number one players have included Cliff Swain, Sudsy Monchik, Kane Waselenchuk and Daniel De La Rosa.
