Viktor Saneyev

Viktor Saneyev (3 October 1945 to 3 January 2022) was a Georgian triple jumper who competed internationally for the Soviet Union. He won four Olympic medals in the event, three golds at the 1968, 1972 and 1976 Games and a silver in 1980. He set the world record three times during his career. Born in Sukhumi in the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, he trained in Sukhumi and Tbilisi, and he died in Sydney.
