Yomiuri Giants

The Yomiuri Giants are a professional baseball team based in Tokyo, Japan, founded in 1934 as Japan's first professional baseball team, and the most successful and historically prominent franchise in Nippon Professional Baseball, having won more Japan Series championships than any other club. Playing in orange and black, the team is owned by the Yomiuri Shimbun newspaper group and plays home games at the Tokyo Dome, and its sustained popularity and championship success across nearly a century, including the era of legendary slugger Sadaharu Oh, whose 868 career home runs remain a world professional baseball record, have made it Japan's most widely supported sports team.
