The United States Ryder Cup Team is the American side in the Ryder Cup, the biennial men's golf competition first played in 1927, originally against a team representing Great Britain and, from 1979 onward, against a team representing Europe. Selected from the leading American golfers on the PGA Tour and captained anew each edition, the team has been one of the two founding sides of the event throughout its history and has won the trophy more times than any other side.
