Club Atletico Boca Juniors is a professional football club based in the La Boca neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina, founded in 1905 by young Italian immigrants, and one of the most successful and widely supported clubs in South American football, having won numerous Argentine league titles and multiple Copa Libertadores continental championships. Playing in blue shirts with a yellow horizontal band, chosen according to club legend from the flag of a Swedish ship docked in the port, the club plays at La Bombonera stadium and maintains one of the fiercest rivalries in world football with River Plate, known as the Superclasico, while counting Diego Maradona among its most celebrated former players.
