USA Track & Field (USATF) is the national governing body for track and field, long-distance running and race walking in the United States, founded in 1979 as a successor to the Amateur Athletic Union's athletics division and headquartered in Indianapolis. It selects US teams for the Olympics and World Athletics Championships and sanctions major American road races and track meets, including the US Olympic Team Trials.
