Governing Bodies

This category is the top-level index for the atlas's Governing Body entities: the federations, leagues and regulatory organizations that set the rules for a sport, sanction its competitions and oversee its athletes, such as an international sports federation or a national league office. Each entry covers a specific organization rather than the sport it governs, the athletes it oversees or the competitions it sanctions, which are filed under their own respective types elsewhere in the atlas.
