The Professional Pickleball Association Tour, usually shortened to PPA Tour, is one of the two professional pickleball tours that were formed independently in the United States in 2019, the other being the Association of Pickleball Players. The Professional Pickleball Association was formed by Connor Pardoe and is based in Draper, Utah. Pardoe chose not to align the tour with USA Pickleball, the original governing body of pickleball in the United States, because he wanted independence to shape the tour to his liking. Early on the PPA required every player to sign a one year exclusivity contract that kept its players off rival tours. In late 2021 Thomas Dundon bought the PPA and extended the contracts to three years, while Pardoe remained chief executive of the PPA Tour. The 2022 PPA Tour was expected to include 20 tournaments with total prize money of 2.5 million dollars. In 2023 the PPA and Major League Pickleball were brought together under one umbrella organization, the United Pickleball Association.
