Association of Pickleball Players Tour

The Association of Pickleball Players Tour, or APP Tour, is one of the two professional pickleball tours that were formed independently in the United States in 2019. The APP and its tour were formed by Ken Herrmann and the organization was first named the Association of Pickleball Professionals, a name changed in 2023 to the Association of Pickleball Players to show its support for both amateur and professional players. Herrmann aligned the tour with USA Pickleball, the original governing body of pickleball in the United States, so all games are sanctioned by USA Pickleball and follow its rules. The 2022 APP Tour includes 32 tournaments in five countries and has attracted an average of 800 players to each tournament, with total prize money expected to be 2 million dollars. In January 2024 the APP announced an agreement to make The Fort in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, its permanent home and training center.
