Tom Sykes

Thomas Edward Sykes is a professional motorcycle racer, born on 19 August 1985 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, who first competed in the World Superbike Championship in 2008. He began in British Superbikes in 2007, finishing sixth in his rookie year for Stobart Vent-Axia Honda, and was fourth in 2008 with the Rizla Suzuki team. His first World Superbike ride was with Yamaha Motor Italia in 2009, and in 2010 he raced a PBM Racing Kawasaki. He won his first Superbike title in 2013 for Kawasaki and finished fourth in the 2018 world championship before leaving the factory team. He raced BMWs for Shaun Muir Racing from 2019 until 2021 and holds World Superbike records for the most career pole positions and second place in career race starts.
