Stu Ungar was an American professional poker, blackjack and gin rummy player widely regarded as one of the greatest gin rummy players ever and among the finest Texas hold 'em competitors of his era. He won the World Series of Poker Main Event three times, in 1980, 1981 and 1997, one of only two players ever to do so, and also won Amarillo Slim's Super Bowl of Poker three times. He earned five World Series of Poker bracelets and was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2001.
