He won the 2006 PokerStars Caribbean Poker Adventure, at the time a World Poker Tour event, earning 1,388,600 dollars after winning his entry through an online 102 dollar satellite tournament on PokerStars. He graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2007, where he studied business and science. His best World Series of Poker finish is fourth place in the 5,000 dollar World Championship Mixed Hold'em event, worth 146,259 dollars, and as of 2010 his total live tournament winnings exceeded 1,900,000 dollars.
