Sean Thomson (born January 28, 1985) is a Canadian lacrosse player who played in the National Lacrosse League. The league's Philadelphia Wings chose him in the first round, ninth overall, of the 2008 entry draft, and he made an immediate impression by earning Rookie of the Week honors in the second week of the 2009 season. He played one season for the Wings before being traded to the Minnesota Swarm in 2010 for Kevin Colleluori. Thomson was a member of the Peterborough Lakers during their 2007 Mann Cup championship season. He began his college lacrosse at Bellarmine University before transferring to the University of Guelph, where the Gryphons won the 2008 Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association championship, although he did not play for them that year, and in 2008 he was also named Burlington Male Athlete of the Year.
