Scotty Nguyen, born Thuan B. Nguyen in Nha Trang, Vietnam on October 28, 1962, is a Vietnamese American professional poker player who won the 1998 World Series of Poker Main Event for one million dollars and later became the first player to win both the WSOP Main Event and the 50,000 dollar Players' Championship when he took the 2008 WSOP H.O.R.S.E. World Championship. A five time WSOP bracelet winner and a 2006 World Poker Tour champion, he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2013.
