Pius Heinz, born May 4, 1989, is a German professional poker player from Bonn, best known as the winner of the Main Event at the 2011 World Series of Poker, the first German player ever to capture the Main Event bracelet. He defeated Czech player Martin Staszko heads-up in the final hand, winning with ace-king against Staszko's ten-seven for a first prize of $8,715,638. A member of Team PokerStars, Heinz developed his game primarily through online play before his historic live-tournament victory.
