Petter Northug

Petter Northug is a Norwegian former cross-country skier born January 6, 1986, in Mosvik Municipality, who won two Olympic gold medals at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Games, in the 50 kilometer classical race and the team sprint. Across his career he won 13 World Championship gold medals, among the most of any cross-country skier of his generation, and was known for his aggressive, often theatrical finishing sprints that made him one of the most popular winter sport athletes in Norway.
