Peter Nicolas Eastgate, born December 13, 1985, is a Danish professional poker player who won the Main Event at the 2008 World Series of Poker for a first prize of $9,152,416. At 22 years, 10 months and 28 days old he became the youngest player ever to win the event, surpassing the previous record held by Phil Hellmuth Jr., though his own record was broken the very next year by Joe Cada. He won the European Poker Awards honor for Outstanding Tournament Performance of the Year in 2008, took a hiatus from professional poker beginning in 2010 during which he auctioned his championship bracelet for charity, returned briefly in 2011, and has not played in major tournaments since 2013. His career live tournament winnings exceed $11 million.
