Nicolás "Nico" Terol Peidro is a Spanish former motorcycle road racer, born on 27 September 1988 in Alcoy in the Province of Alicante. He won the 125cc World Championship in 2011, the final title of that class before Moto3 replaced it in 2012, after taking eight races that season. He had begun professionally in 2005, scored his first international victory at the rain-shortened 2008 Indianapolis Grand Prix, finished third in the 2009 championship and runner-up to Marc Marquez in 2010. He then moved to Moto2 and won three races with the Aspar Team in 2013. Later he raced in the Superbike World Championship with Althea Racing and in the Supersport World Championship.
