Nick Skelton is a British former show jumping rider who competed at seven Olympic Games and retired in 2017 at age 59. He won three golds, three silvers and three bronzes at the European Show Jumping Championships over 26 years, and holds the British show jumping high jump record set in 1978. In 2012, at age 54, he won Olympic team gold with Great Britain, and four years later he won individual Olympic gold at the 2016 Rio Games, after which he and his horse Big Star retired together.
