FAQs

Why is Barry Greenstein called the Robin Hood of Poker?

He donates much of his poker winnings to charity.

Barry Greenstein earned the nickname because he gives away much of his poker income to charity, mainly Children Incorporated. After he won 770,000 dollars at Larry Flynt's 1 million dollar Seven-Card Stud event in 2003, he donated 440,000 dollars to the charity, a gift of 1,000 dollars to each of its 440 employees. In 2006 he announced that he would donate his net tournament earnings to charity.
