Barry Greenstein is an American professional poker player born December 30, 1954, in Chicago, Illinois, who holds a computer science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and worked briefly at Symantec before turning to poker full time. He has won three World Series of Poker bracelets, in 2004, 2005 and 2008, and two World Poker Tour titles, including the Jack Binion World Poker Open for 1,278,370 dollars, with career live tournament winnings exceeding 8.5 million dollars, and he was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2011. Known as the Robin Hood of Poker for donating much of his winnings to charities including Children Incorporated, he finished second in the 2008 WSOP Player of the Year standings.
