Moritz Fuerste is a German field hockey player who played as a half back, born October 28, 1984, in Hamburg, West Germany. He won Olympic gold medals with Germany at the 2008 Beijing and 2012 London Games and an Olympic bronze at the 2016 Rio Games, took gold at the 2006 Men's Hockey World Cup and the 2011 European Championship, and won the Hockey Champions Trophy in 2007 and 2014. He was named FIH World Player of the Year in 2012, earned 268 caps for Germany between 2005 and 2016 with 112 goals, and won the Euro Hockey League three times with club side Uhlenhorster HC.
