Minke Gertine Booij is a Dutch field hockey player, born January 24, 1977, in Zaanstad, who earned more than 150 international caps for the Netherlands national team after debuting on September 9, 1998, against Japan, and served as team captain during several major tournaments in the 2000s. She won an Olympic gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Games, a silver at the 2004 Athens Games, and a bronze at the 2000 Sydney Games, along with World Cup gold at Madrid in 2006 and multiple European Championship and Champions Trophy titles. She was named World Hockey Player of the Year in 2006.
