Mikkel Hansen is a Danish handball player widely regarded as one of the greatest of his generation, having been named the International Handball Federation's world player of the year a record number of times. He won an Olympic gold medal with Denmark at the 2016 Rio Olympics and multiple World and European Championship titles across his international career. He has also played professionally for leading clubs in France's top handball league.
