Michael Roth, born on 15 February 1962, is a German former handball player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics. He was a member of the West German handball team that won the silver medal at those Games, playing two matches and scoring two goals. His twin brother Ulrich Roth was also part of the same squad. After his playing days Roth moved into coaching: he was head coach of the HSG Wetzlar Bundesliga side in 2009, and from 1 October 2020 he has been coaching the Bahrain national team.
