Mel Judah, nicknamed The Silver Fox, was born on 8 October 1947 in Kolkata, India, and is an Australian professional poker player who learned the game at fourteen by watching his father play five-card draw. He won World Series of Poker bracelets in the 1989 Seven Card Stud event and the 1997 five thousand dollar Seven Card Stud event, and finished third in the 1997 main event won by Stu Ungar. He took the 2003 Legends of Poker title on the World Poker Tour and was an inaugural inductee into the Australian Poker Hall of Fame in 2009. He worked for several years as a hairdresser and lives in Sydney.
