Mason Cox is an American-born Australian rules footballer, born on 14 March 1991 near Dallas, Texas. A 211 centimetre ruckman and key forward, he played basketball at Oklahoma State University before attending a combine for potential Australian rules recruits in 2014, knowing almost nothing of the game, and signing with Collingwood. He played in the Victorian Football League in 2015, made his AFL debut in the Anzac Day match of 2016, and went on to play 139 games for Collingwood, including the 2018 Grand Final and the 2023 premiership, which made him the second American-born AFL premiership player. He became an Australian citizen in 2022, was delisted by Collingwood after 2025, and signed with Fremantle.
