Mark William Knowles is an Australian field hockey player, born March 10, 1984, who has captained the Australia men's national team, known as the Kookaburras, since 2014. He won a gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the 2014 World Cup, gold at the Champions Trophy in 2005 and 2012, and bronze medals at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. He played professionally in the Netherlands for HC Rotterdam, and in 2024 was inducted into the Sport Australia Hall of Fame.
