Lidewij Welten is a Dutch field hockey forward, born July 16, 1990, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, who earned 187 international caps with 71 goals for the Netherlands between 2008 and 2024. She won three Olympic gold medals, at the 2008 Beijing, 2012 London and 2020 Tokyo Games, and an Olympic silver at the 2016 Rio Games, three World Cup golds (2014, 2018, 2022) and four European Championship golds (2009, 2011, 2017, 2019). She was named player of the tournament at the 2018 Women's Hockey World Cup, scoring in the final victory, and announced her release from the Dutch national team on January 27, 2024.
