Kenny Tran

Phuong "Kenny" Tran is a Vietnamese American professional poker player from Arcadia, California. He was born in Vietnam, gives ten percent of his winnings to his extended family there, and first began playing poker in 1992 at a bowling alley while working at McDonald's. He began playing tournaments in 1999 and has thirteen career World Series of Poker cashes, including a fifth place finish and $444,000 in the $50,000 World Championship H.O.R.S.E. event in 2007 and a sixteenth place finish in that year's Main Event. At the 2008 World Series of Poker he won a bracelet in the $10,000 Heads-Up No-Limit Hold'em World Championship, earning $539,056, his largest cash. He is known as a cash game specialist in high-stakes seven card stud at the Commerce Casino in Los Angeles.
