Justyna Kowalczyk is a Polish cross-country skier, born January 19, 1983. She became the first Polish cross-country skier to win an Olympic medal, taking bronze at the 2006 Turin Games, then won Poland first Olympic cross-country gold in the 30 kilometre classical event at the 2010 Vancouver Games by three tenths of a second over Norway Marit Bjorgen, and added a second gold in the 10 kilometre classical at the 2014 Sochi Games. She won four consecutive FIS Tour de Ski titles from 2010 to 2013 and holds seven World Championship medals.
