Graham Vivian Polly Farmer, 1935 to 2019, was an Australian rules footballer who played for Geelong in the Victorian Football League and for East Perth and West Perth in the Western Australian league. Born in Western Australia and of Noongar descent through his mother, he is considered one of the greatest footballers in the history of the game, and was among the 12 inaugural Legends of the Australian Football Hall of Fame in 1996. He is chiefly recognised for revolutionising ruckwork and handballing. After retiring he returned to Geelong to become the VFL first coach of Indigenous background, and the Graham Farmer Freeway in Perth is named for him.
