Gerry Hargan is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Dublin county team. He made his debut for Dublin in the National Football League against Kerry in Tralee and won an All-Ireland Senior Football Championship medal in 1983. He also won Leinster Senior Football Championship titles with Dublin in 1983, 1984, 1985, 1989 and 1992 and the National Football League in 1987, received two All Star awards and captained the county in 1988. His final game for Dublin was the 1992 All-Ireland final at Croke Park, which Dublin lost to Donegal by 0-18 to 0-14, and an injury meant he could no longer play for the county. At club level he collected two Dublin Senior Football Championship medals, in 1982 and 1985.
