Florian Kunz is a former German field hockey defender, born February 22, 1972, in Leverkusen, West Germany, who captained the German side that won the 2002 Men's Hockey World Cup. He earned 228 caps for Germany between 1992 and 2004, won an Olympic bronze medal at the 2004 Athens Games, World Cup gold in 2002 at Kuala Lumpur, multiple Champions Trophy medals, and Indoor World Cup gold in 2003 at Leipzig. He was named FIH Player of the Year in 2001.
