Espen Uhlen Jorstad was born in May 1988 in Levanger Municipality, Norway, and originally trained as a brewer, earning a masters degree in brewing science from the University of Copenhagen and working in the brewing industry before turning to poker. He built a following as a livestreamer from 2016 onward, first as a sponsored player for a European bookmaker and later through a group channel, focusing mainly on online cash games rather than live tournaments. In 2022 he won the World Series of Poker Main Event, defeating Adrian Attenborough for a ten million dollar first prize and becoming the first player from Norway ever to win the title. The victory made him a celebrated sporting story in Norway and one of the most prominent Scandinavian players in the history of the game.
