Danilo Petrucci

Danilo Carlo Petrucci, born in Terni on 24 October 1990, is an Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He began racing in 1998 on mini-trial and mini-cross bikes, switched to road racing in 2006 and was runner-up in the 2007 Yamaha R6 Cup, which brought official support from Yamaha Motor Italia. He won the Italian Superbike Championship in 2011 and two races in the MotoGP World Championship. After losing his KTM ride at the end of the 2021 season he entered the 2022 Dakar Rally on a Tech3 KTM, then raced in the AMA Superbike Championship in the United States before returning to Europe with the Barni Ducati team in the Superbike World Championship, where he won the Superbike Independents Cup in 2024 and 2025.
