Football Codes

Cyril Rioli, formally Cyril Rioli III, was born on 14 July 1989 and is a former Australian rules football player who played with the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League. He was a member of four premiership teams and was the Norm Smith Medallist, as best on ground, in the 2015 AFL Grand Final. He played primarily as a forward pocket and also spent time in the midfield, although injuries limited how long he could play there. Rioli was noted for not being a particularly high-possession player, instead using his few possessions efficiently.
