Cristina Neagu is a Romanian handball player born September 26, 1988, in Bucharest, widely regarded as one of the greatest handball players in history. She has won the International Handball Federation World Player of the Year award four times, more than any other player, and has been the top scorer in numerous domestic and European club competitions across a long career mainly spent playing for Romanian and Russian clubs. She has represented Romania's national team for more than a decade and a half, becoming the country's all-time leading scorer in the sport.
