Carlo Ubbiali was an Italian professional motorcycle road racer, born on 22 September 1929 and died on 2 June 2020. He rode in the FIM Grand Prix world championships from 1949 to 1960, mostly as part of the MV Agusta factory team. During the 1950s he dominated the smaller classes, winning six 125cc and three 250cc world titles. The FIM inducted him into the MotoGP Hall of Fame in 2001. His career therefore spanned the opening decade of the modern world championship, and his totals of nine world titles in the lighter classes make him one of the most decorated riders of that era.
