Beth Pascall

Beth Pascall is a British ultrarunner and paediatrician, born on 15 September 1987, who grew up on her parents' family farm. She first took up sport at the University of Nottingham, where she studied medicine and rowed, and she turned to trail running because it was easier to balance with a medical career. She launched straight into ultramarathon distances and won the Spine Race in 2015. In 2016 she finished eighth at the Trail World Championships in Gerês and won team bronze for Great Britain with Jo Meek and Jo Zakrzewski. In 2018 she and Damian Hall set a fastest known time on the Cape Wrath Trail, self-supported in winter, a feat followed by the documentary Wrath. She won Ultra Trail Cape Town in 2019 and the Western States Endurance Run in 2021.
