Andrew Cohen (poker player)

Andrew Cohen is an American bartender at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas who became a World Series of Poker bracelet winner in 2009. Born around 1969, he won the 2009 $500 Casino Employees No Limit Hold'em event, a tournament restricted to people who work in the casino industry. Before that win he had played in seven WSOP tournaments without cashing in any of them, although at the 2007 Main Event he was the player who eliminated ten-time bracelet winner Doyle Brunson. His bracelet was the first at the series to be presented on center stage while the winner's national anthem was performed, a ceremony that became a new WSOP tradition. Cohen said the bracelet mattered more to him than the money, and afterward he wanted to enter the Main Event.
