Alyson Annan is an Australian field hockey player born June 21, 1973, in Wentworthville, New South Wales, who earned 228 international caps and scored 166 goals for Australia's women's team between 1991 and 2001, and was named the world's best female hockey player in 1999. She won Olympic gold at the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Games, two World Cup titles, in 1994 and 1998, and five Champions Trophy titles between 1993 and 1999; after retiring as a player in 2003 she became head coach of the Netherlands women's team from 2015 to 2022, leading them to Olympic silver in 2016 and gold in 2020, before taking charge of China's women's national team in 2022.
