Alex Danson is an English field hockey forward, born May 21, 1985, in Southampton. She earned 203 caps for England and 103 for Great Britain, scoring a combined 115 goals, and was part of the England and Great Britain teams that won gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics and bronze at the 2012 London Olympics, as well as gold at the 2015 European Championship. She served as team captain before retiring in 2020 after a head injury left her unable to continue playing.
