Western Bulldogs

The Western Bulldogs are a professional Australian rules football club based in the Melbourne suburb of Footscray that competes in the Australian Football League. It changed its name to Western Bulldogs at the end of 1996 as part of a rebranding. The club has won two VFL and AFL premierships, in 1954 and 2016. Its guernsey has two thick horizontal hoops, one red and one white, on a royal blue background, and it has played at Docklands Stadium since 2000 while its headquarters are at the Whitten Oval. Fourteen players are members of the Australian Football Hall of Fame, and the women's team has played in the AFL Women's league since 2017, winning a premiership in 2018.
