West Coast Eagles

The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 and first competed in 1987 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League, which was then known as the Victorian Football League. It plays its home games at Optus Stadium, has its headquarters at Lathlain Park, and is wholly owned by WA Football, which also owns the Fremantle Football Club. In the AFL era from 1990 the Eagles have been among the most successful clubs, and in 1992 they became the first non-Victorian side to play in and win an AFL Grand Final, adding premierships in 1994, 2006 and 2018. The club is one of the most profitable and influential in the league, and it also fields a women's team in the AFLW and a reserves team in the WAFL.
